THE INTROVERT AND EXTROVERT IN LOVE...AND MARRIAGE
Opposites attract but they don't always see eye to eye. Do you sometimes feel that you and your partner are running at different speeds? One of you is a homebody, the other is a social butterfly? One keeps it all in and the other lets it all hang out? As seen on the Today Show and Good Morning America, husband and wife psychotherapists Allison Moir-Smith and Jason E. Smith will help you learn to navigate the specific challenges of the introvert-extrovert relationship. Come and see how you and your partner can go from bickering to balance.

The Joy of Introversion
Or, How To Stop Worrying and Learn to Love Yourself
For many people, the word introversion conjures up images of a pathologically shy loner or a cranky misanthrope. Introversion has developed such a bad reputation that even introverts are often concerned that something is wrong with them.
However, when we consider that one-third to one-half of the population is introverted, these old stereotypes just won’t do.
In this workshop, we will uncover the strengths and gifts that can be found in embracing your introverted nature. We will explore how being introverted affects your relationships, your work, your creative and spiritual life, and even your health. We will discuss strategies that introverts can use to find their optimal engagement with all these areas, increasing the enjoyment and fulfillment of life.
The jumping off point for this workshop is Susan Cain’s book, Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking, which was released earlier this year and quickly became a New York Times bestseller. The video of her Ted Talk lecture on introversion broke records for the number of viewings in the first week of its posting. The success of her book and video show just how powerfully a positive view of introversion resonates for so many people.
If you are an introvert, or know one, raise one, live with one, or love one, be sure to check out this workshop.
Next seminar: Thursday, June 7th, 2012 7pm - 9pm

Dreaming as a Spiritual Practice

Jacob's Ladder by William Blake
“All dreams reveal spiritual experiences.”
~ C.G. Jung
Humankind has always been fascinated by the dreaming mind. As far back as the earliest written records, dreams have been understood to contain important spiritual messages. Scriptures from many of the world’s great religious traditions, including Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and Hinduism all contain references to the power of dreams.
The work of C.G. Jung has restored this understanding of our dream life to the modern world. Jung considered dreams a direct expression of the soul. How can we access this deeper wisdom? By learning the symbolic language of dreams and developing a relationship with our deepest selves. This workshop explores the spiritual heritage of the dream and teaches basic dream interpretation techniques, based on the work of C.G. Jung, to help participants understand the messages coming from their own nightly dreams.
